News West End's Starry Children's Hour Loses a Performance, But Adds a Week to Run The new West End production of Lillian Hellman's The Children's Hour, which opened officially at the Comedy Theatre Feb. 9, lost a performance Feb. 14, owing to "essential building repairs" that were not named. However, the production has also extended its run for a second and final time, with bookings now being taken through May 7.

The production, directed by Ian Rickson, features Keira Knightley and Elisabeth Moss as two women who run a girls' boarding school in 1930s New England, who face an accusation of being involved in a lesbian relationship by one of their pupils.

The production also stars Ellen Burstyn and Carol Kane, with featured roles being taken by Tobias Menzies and Bryony Hannah.

The Children's Hour is produced by Sonia Friedman Productions & Scott Landis and is supported by American Airlines.
