Also newly joining the company from Sept. 1 are Alicia Beck as Meg, John Ellis as Piangi and Emmi Christensson as the alternate Christine; they are all making their West End debuts.
Tamne appeared in the second series of BBC 1’s "The Voice." Previous theatre credits include Enjolras in Les Miserables (Queen’s Theatre), Hair (Gielgud Theatre), Hairspray (Shaftesbury Theatre) and Wicked (Apollo Victoria Theatre).
Beck trained with the Birmingham Royal Ballet and has danced with Ballet Dortmund, Ballet Nice Mediterenee and The Zurich Ballet. Most recently she played the role of White Cat in the U.K. and European tour of Cats.
Ellis comes to the production having most recently performed the role of Piangi in the German production of Das Phantom Der Oper. Other theatre credits include Old Deuteronomy in Cats (World Tour), Simon and Judas in Jesus Christ Superstar (U.K. tour) and in his native Australia, productions of The Wizard of Oz, Summer Rain, Assassins and Passion.
Christensson performed the role of Cosette in Les Miserables in Norway, a role she also performed at Malmo Opera, Sweden. Previous theatre credits include Maria in West Side Story (Nojesteatern); The Sound of Music (Gota Lejon and tour of Sweden); and Wendy in Peter Pan.
