News West Side Story and Forum Get Extra Week at Stratford Festival The Stratford Shakespeare Festival in Ontario is extending its productions of West Side Story and A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum by a week, now running to Nov. 8.

Tickets for these additional performances go on sale to members of the Stratford Shakespeare Festival on Aug. 29. American Express Cardmembers have advance ticket access beginning Sept. 2. Tickets go on sale to the general public on Sept. 5.

Seán Cullen recently was announced as the replacement to play the role of Pseudolus in A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, after Bruce Dow suffered injuries that forced him to withdraw from the season. Cullen will be stepping into the role in early September.

Five performances of West Side Story, directed by Gary Griffin and choreographed by Sergio Trujillo, have been added to the schedule at the flagship Festival Theatre: Nov. 3 at 2 PM; Nov. 5 at 8 PM; Nov. 6 at 2 PM, Nov. 7 at 2 PM; and Nov. 8 at 2 PM.

A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, directed by artistic director Des McAnuff and choreographed by Wayne Cilento, will have three additional performances at the proscenium Avon Theatre: Nov. 4 at 2 PM; Nov. 5 at 2 PM; and Nov. 7 at 8 PM.
