The U.S. premiere of Charles Wuorinen and Annie Proulx’s operatic adaptation of Brokeback Mountain opened May 31 at Jazz at Lincoln Center’s Rose Theater. The New York City Opera production continues through June 4.

Directed by Jacopo Spirei, the production stars Daniel Okulitch as Ennis del Mar, Glenn Seven Allen as Jack Twist, Heather Buck as Alma Beers, and Hilary Ginther as Lureen. Kazem Abdullah conducts.
