News Where Aren't They Now: "Grease: You're The One That I Want" Hopefuls Fill Stages NBC's competition series "Grease: You're The One That I Want" selected only two winners for the current Broadway revival of that fifties-set musical, but the TV audition show — though low-rated — opened doors for more than just Laura Osnes and Max Crumm.

Osnes and Crumm, the stars of Kathleen Marshall's current Broadway Grease revival, aren't the only series competitors in the spotlight this season. Here's a look at what other "You're the One That I Want" alumni are up to now and in coming weeks.

 

 

  • Austin Miller ("Hot Danny" as he was referred to on the series) was runner-up to Crumm. He is set to appear in the musical Tully (In No Particular Order) at the New York Musical Theatre Festival, Sept. 20-28.

  • Ashley Spencer ("Ballerina Sandy") was runner-up to Osnes. She currently plays Amber Von Tussle in Broadway's Hairspray through Oct. 21.  

  •  

     

  • Derek Keeling ("Wholesome Danny") was cast in the Broadway-aimed musical A Tale of Two Cities, which is set to make its world premiere in Florida, Oct. 13-Nov. 18.  

  •  

     

  • Kathleen Monteleone ("Spiritual Sandy") appears in Urban Cowboy The Musical at Gateway Playhouse (Bellport, NY) through Sept. 29.  

  •  

     

  • Chad Doreck ("Ambitious Danny") currently stars in Off-Broadway's Altar Boyz.  

  •  

     

  • Kate Rockwell ("Serious Sandy") appears opposite Miller in Tully (In No Particular Order).  

  •  

     

  • Kevin Greene ("Bellhop Danny") will also appear in the Broadway-aimed A Tale of Two Cities this fall.

  • Julie Hansen ("Rock Chick Sandy") will appear in NYMF's I See London, I See France (The Underwear Musical), Sept. 18-29. Even co-host Denise Van Outen got into the swing of things. The actress, who has previously appeared on the London stage in Chicago and Tell Me on a Sunday, was recently announced to star as Maureen in the forthcoming London production of Rent.
