The evening will honor longtime Foundation supporter and Broadway veteran James L. Nederlander with the Visionary Leadership Award, which will be presented by Francine LeFrak. Contemporary artist Chuck Close and the New York Rangers will also be honored.
The upcoming gala will also boast a champagne toast given by Academy Award winner Meryl Streep as well as a performance by Irving Berlin's White Christmas cast members Stephen Bogardus and Kerry O'Malley. Bogardus and O'Malley will perform a medley of Berlin songs, including "Love and the Weather," "How Deep Is the Ocean?" and "White Christmas."
The Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation, according to a press release, is "dedicated to curing spinal cord injury by funding innovative research, and improving the quality of life for people living with paralysis through grants, information and advocacy."
The evening will begin at 6:30 PM with cocktails followed by dinner and dancing with music by the Starlight Orchestra at 7:30 PM.
