News White Noise Concludes Pre-Broadway Run in New Orleans July 26 The New Orleans premiere of the Broadway-aimed musical White Noise concludes its limited run at Le Petit Theatre du Vieux Carré July 26.

Brooklyn producer Mitchell Maxwell presents and co-directs the rock musical, which began previews July 7 and features co-direction and choreography by Donald Byrd (The Color Purple).

Co-presenters Sibling Theatricals, Holly Way and Company, Robert Barandes and Jay Cardwell state that the production hopes to bow on Broadway this fall. No theatre or dates have been announced.

Originally conceived by Ryan Davis, the musical has a book by Matte O'Brien with music and lyrics by Robert Morris, Steven Morris, Joe Shane along with Joe Drymala. Additional songs are by Laurence O'Keefe (Legally Blonde), Benj Pasek/Justin Paul (Edges) and Sharon Vaughn.

White Noise stars MacKenzie Mauzy (A Tale of Two Cities) and Patti Murin (Xanadu) as twins, Eva and Kady, with Nancy Anderson (Wonderful Town, A Class Act) as Laurel, Peter Hilton (Frost/Nixon) as Pete Martin, Brandon Williams as Rick, Patrick Murney as Duke, David Nathan Perlow as Kurt, Rodney Hicks (Rent) as Tyler, Antwayn Hopper (Roller Derby) as Dion and Andrew McGinn (Coast of Utopia) as Bob.

The White Noise ensemble includes Jacob ben Widmar (Xanadu), Heather Hamilton, Stacey Harris (Bells Are Ringing, Lone Star Love), Grasan Kingsbery (The Color Purple), Krisha Marcano and Eryn Murman (Spring Awakening). Press notes for White Noise state, "Eva and Kady Siller have established a small following as folk singers promoting messages of white power. They are discovered by a powerful New York manager who convinces them that they can penetrate the world of mainstream rock/pop, dramatically increasing their power, by simply coding the lyrics to their hate songs. Indeed, powerful packaging and a passive public are a dangerous combination.

Frighteningly entertaining, White Noise is a parable for our times, exposing a hateful reality to which we are immune. Designed to educate audiences about the inadvertent dangers of extremism and its mainstream penetration, White Noise asks riveting questions of each of us and offers a glimmer of hope into our future."

Inspired by the true-life story of "Nazi folk twins" Lynx and Lamb Gaede of the band Prussian Blue, White Noise began life in an award-winning extended run at the 2006 New York Musical Theatre Festival.
