PlayBlog Whoopi Goldberg Talks Sister Act (Video) Fox NY's Julie Chang recently interviewed producer Whoopi Goldberg about the new Broadway musical Sister Act.

Goldberg joined the cast of Sister Act in the West End as Mother Superior for a limited run in August 2010, but admits to Chang that she won't be making a return to the musical that opens on Broadway April 20 at the Broadway Theatre.

"When disco diva Deloris Van Cartier witnesses a murder, she is put in protective custody in the one place cops are sure she won't be found - a convent! Disguised as a nun, she finds herself at odds with both the rigid lifestyle and an uptight Mother Superior. Using her unique disco moves and singing talent to inspire the choir, Deloris breathes new life into the church and community, but in doing so blows her cover. Soon the gang are giving chase, only to find themselves up against Deloris and the power of her new found Sister Hood," according to producers.

Chang also talks to the stars of the Broadway musical, Patina Miller (Deloris Van Cartier) and Victoria Clark (Mother Superior).
