Two-time Academy Award winner Sally Field, who made a return to Broadway this season to star in Tennessee Williams’ The Glass Menagerie, was on the Today Show March 3 to chat about the Sam Gold-helmed revival and her love of the stage.

“Sam Gold has taken a complicated play and made it even more complicated,” she said of the production, adding that the role of Amanda Wingfield was one of the greatest for women to play.

Field, who was last seen on Broadway in the 2002 staging of The Goat, or Who is Sylvia?, said that a return to the Broadway stage has been on her bucket list for some time. She also spoke candidly about turning 70 and feeling comfortable with her age and life experience.

“There’s nothing wrong with being old or older,” she told the host.
