News Wicked, Starring Lucy Durack and Jemma Rix, Will Return to Melbourne in May 2014 The Stephen Schwartz-Winnie Holzman musical Wicked will return to its original Australian home in Melbourne for a limited engagement before touring to Sydney and Brisbane in 2014, Australian producers announced July 8.

Lucy Durack will reprise her performance as Glinda, the role she created in the original Australian production of Wicked, and Jemma Rix, who has played 800 performances of Wicked across Australia and Asia, will return to the role of Elphaba.

The cast will also include Steve Danielsen as Fiyero, Maggie Kirkpatrick as Madame Morrible, Glen Hogstrom as Doctor Dillamond, Emily Cascarino as Nessarose and Edward Grey as Boq. The role of the Wizard has not been announced.

Rounding out the ensemble are Justin Anderson, Daniel Assetta, Dion Bilios, Rachel Cole, Danielle Cook, Daniel Downing, Danielle Evrat, Mitch Fistrovic, Tom Handley, Emma Hawthorne, Matt Holly, Angela Lumicisi, Katie McKee, Kassie Martin, John O’Hara, Deanna O’Leary, Joseph O’Sullivan, Justine Puy, Chris Scalzo, Pharic Scott, Ryan Shepard, Ellen Sutton, Monica Swayne and Sophie Wright.

According to AussieTheatre.com, performances will begin at Melbourne's Regent Theatre May 10, 2014, and the show will play the Lyric Theatre QPAC during the Brisbane leg. A venue for the Sydney engagement is yet to be confirmed.
