News Wicked's Green to Host New Voices Celebration The Monday Nights, New Voices series at the Duplex Cabaret Theatre continues May 8 with a special celebration saluting the women who took part in the first New Voices concert in January 2005.

Producer Scott Alan created his series to spotlight up-n-coming talent in New York. The upcoming concert will celebrate the accomplishments of the very first group of "New Voices." Wicked's Jenna Leigh Green will host the 7 PM concert, which will feature the talents of Jersey Boys' Sara Schmidt, Lestat’s Nikki Renee Daniels and Wicked's Kathy Deitch as well as Lauren Thomas and Zakiya Young. Barbara Anselmi will be the musical director for the evening, which will include tunes by established composers and such newer talents as Brian Lowdermilk and Sam Davis.

Host Jenna Leigh Green is currently playing Nessarose in the Broadway company of Wicked, having originated that role for the show's national tour. Green appeared in the New York production of Bare: A Pop Opera and in the Los Angeles productions of Wizard of Oz, The Secret Garden, Romeo and Juliet, Into the Woods and West Side Story. Her screen credits include "Sabrina the Teenage Witch," "First Shot," "A Friend to Die For," "Dharma and Greg" and "ER."
