Menzel and the cast of the forthcoming film of Rent will perform at the Aug. 4 event, which will be held at 12:30 PM. Menzel and Tracie Thoms will belt out "Take Me or Leave Me," and the entire Rent company will lend their voices to the show's anthem, "Seasons of Love." Bryant Park is located in Manhattan at 42nd Street and Sixth Avenue.

Directed by Christopher Columbus, "Rent" will open in limited release Nov. 11 and will hit screen across the country Nov. 23. The Columbia Pictures/Revolution Studios film, with a screenplay by Columbus and Stephen Chbosky, stars Taye Diggs (Benny), Wilson Jermaine Heredia (Angel), Jesse L. Martin (Tom Collins), Idina Menzel (Maureen), Adam Pascal (Roger), Anthony Rapp (Mark), Rosario Dawson (Mimi) and Tracie Thoms (Joanne).
