Bean's performance will celebrate her new album "O'Farrell Street," which was released last winter. The ten-track album includes original songs such as "Cold Turkey," "Blood from a Stone," "Quittin' Time," "Gin and Cigarrettes" and "Water."
Here's how the album is characterized: "Shoshana's unique take on vintage soul music of the late 1960's draws inspiration from artists like Otis Redding, Aretha Franklin, Etta James and Sam Cooke. She has successfully created a sound that is simultaneously nostalgic and refreshing."
The concert also promises songs from "Broadway, the movies, [and] 60s soul."
In addition to her run in Wicked and Jerry Mitchell's Peepshow in Las Vegas, Bean appeared in the original Broadway cast of Hairspray and in the Off-Broadway revival of Godspell. Her R&B album "Superhero" was released in 2008.
