Thomas' evening is titled Songs I'm Not Supposed to Sing and will feature tunes from Dreamgirls as well as songs made famous by Aretha Franklin. The concert, according to press notes, is “about breaking stereotypes, testing barriers and challenging living freely.” Marty Thomas has appeared on Broadway in The Secret Garden and Wicked. He is a Grammy-nominated recording artist who was named the 1992 Junior Vocalist champion on the original “Star Search” series. His self-titled solo CD is now available.
