News Wicked's Thomas to Go It Solo Feb. 13 with Songs I'm Not Supposed to Sing Marty Thomas, who is currently part of the ensemble of Broadway's Wicked, will offer a solo concert Feb. 13 at the Duplex Cabaret Theatre.

The 7 PM performance is part of the Duplex's “Broadway Downtown” series, which will also present Phantom's Anne Runolfsson on Feb. 27 at 6 PM. Thomas' evening is titled Songs I'm Not Supposed to Sing and will feature tunes from Dreamgirls as well as songs made famous by Aretha Franklin. The concert, according to press notes, is “about breaking stereotypes, testing barriers and challenging living freely.” Marty Thomas has appeared on Broadway in The Secret Garden and Wicked. He is a Grammy-nominated recording artist who was named the 1992 Junior Vocalist champion on the original “Star Search” series. His self-titled solo CD is now available.
