Cartoonist Art Spiegelman will be a guest on the May 4 edition of "Theater Talk," the PBS show devoted to the world of the stage, hosted by Michael Riedel of The New York Post and Susan Haskins.

Spiegelman illustrated the recent reissue of Joseph Moncure March's Jazz Age poem, "The Wild Party." It was this edition which was eventually picked up by composers Michael John LaChiusa and Andrew Lippa, who went on to write separate musicals based on the poem. Lippa's version has been nominated for 13 Drama Desk Awards. LaChiusa's is currently playing on Broadway.

Also on the May 4 program, in a tribute the late Alexander Cohen, who died April 20, "Theater Talk" replays a segment of a 1998 interview with the producer.

The show airs May 4 at midnight, and will re-air on MetroArts Thirteen, Saturday, at 10 PM (check local Cablevision listings for time and channel); and Friday at 12:30 AM in Boston on WGBH. (Check local listings.)
