Todd Phillips will direct the film, which is inspired by a Rolling Stone article by Guy Lawson. The script, by Phillips and Jason Smilovic, follows two arms dealers who find themselves in danger after entering into a $300 million contract to supply weapons for its allies in Afghanistan.

Eisenberg is the author of Asuncion and The Revisionist, both of which he starred in at the Rattlestick Playwrights Theater. He was also nominated for a Best Actor Oscar for "The Social Network." He has also appeared in "Adventureland," "Now You See Me" and "Night Moves."

LaBeouf, known for his work on the film "Transformers," infamously exited the 2013 Broadway production of Orphans and was replaced by actor Ben Foster. His screen work also includes "The Company You Keep," "Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps," "New York, I Love You" and "Disturbia."
