Toronto's TheStar.com reports that Rogen took in the Toronto production of Rock of Ages last week and is in talks to play Lonny (originated and played on Broadway by Mitch Jarvis) in the film.
Lonny acts as the Puck'ish narrator who guides audiences through the tale of love and rock on the Sunset Strip in the 1980's. As previously reported, Adam Shankman is attached to direct the film of Rock of Ages for New Line Cinema.
Previous reports projected Rock of Ages film to hit theatres in 2011 from Warner Brothers. Shankman also commented that he was "going to attempt to cast with movie stars."
