Directed by Marc Bruni with choreography by Wendy Seyb, the musical will play the New Jersey venue through Feb. 13.
The cast comprises Ephie Aardema (Logainne), Will Blum (Barfee), Lyle Mackston (Leaf), Marla Mindelle (Rona), Olivia Oguma (Marcy), Jerold E. Solomon (Mitch), Ali Stroker (Olive), David Volin (Panch) and Brandon Yanez (Chip).
The show that has adult actors playing smart, misfit kids in a spelling bee is written by composer-lyricist William Finn and librettist Rachel Sheinkin (who won a Tony Award for the script). The conception is by Rebecca Feldman.
The Paper Mill production features scenic design by Anna Louizos, costume design by Alejo Vietti, lighting design by David Lander and sound design by Randy Hansen and Julie Pittman. Andy Einhorn is music director, and Greg Jarrett is associate music director; the production stage manager is Rebecca S. Fleming.
