News Williams, Greaves and Marshall Set for Lizan Reading The National Arts Club will present a staged reading of the first act of the new musical Lizan Oct. 29.

Directed by Devanand Janki, the reading will feature the talents of The Color Purple's NaTasha Yvette Williams as well as Danielle Greaves, Tony nominee Larry Marshall and Aurelia Williams. Show time is 7 PM. Lizan features book and lyrics by novelist Bil Wright and music by Alden Terry. The musical, according to press notes, is described as such: "Twenty-one year old Lizan Lasley becomes the focus of a huge scandal when she is hit by a sniper's bullet intended for Chapman Jordan, African American presidential candidate."
