Stage veterans Sheree North and Thomas Jane star in the Laguna Playhouse production of Tennessee Williams' The Glass Menagerie beginning Jan. 4.
Directed by Marilyn Fox, the play is scheduled to run through January 30.
The Glass Menagerie premiered at Chicago's Civic Theatre in 1944, where Chicago Tribune critic Claudia Cassidy was credited with championing the work and prompting its 1945 Broadway opening, which established Williams' place in American theatre.
The Laguna Playhouse production features Sheree North as Amanda, Thomas Jane as Tom, Casey Siegenfeld as Laura and Jonathan Goldstein as Jim, Laura's "Gentleman Caller."
Director Marilyn Fox is the Artistic Director of the Pacific Resident Theatre, and she currently appears there in Molnar's The Swan. The Glass Menagerie tickets are $21 - 40. Information can be obtained by visiting the new Laguna Playhouse website at www.lagunaplayhouse.com or by calling (949) 497-ARTS (2787). The Glass Menagerie's final performance will be Sunday, January 30th at 2 PM.
