The annual benefit, which features Broadway stars performing classic show tunes for roles in which they would never be cast, played March 10 at New York City's Hammerstein Ballroom.

The evening also honored producers Jeffrey Richards and Jerry Frankel's "extraordinarily unique commitment to bringing provocative and daring works to mainstream New York theatre audiences." The duo are currently represented on Broadway by August: Osage County, Spring Awakening, The Homecoming and November. MCC recently announced Piper Perabo, Alison Pill, Thomas Sadoski and Pablo Schreiber will star in its next presentation, the world premiere of Neil LaBute's reasons to be pretty. Terry Kinney will direct the Off-Broadway run slated to play May 14-July 5 at Off-Broadway's Lucille Lortel Theatre with a June 2 opening night.
