News Wilson, Maynard, Umphress and Spieler to Perform "The Battery's Down" at Joe's Pub Cast members and special guests from Jake Wilson's online web series "The Battery's Down" will present an evening of song and comedy sketches at Joe's Pub April 19.

Now in its second season, "The Battery's Down" follows the life of a young actor trying to make it in New York City. Connor Gallagher will direct the 11:30 PM fundraiser performance; musical director is Adam Laird.

In addition to songs from the popular series, the Joe's Pub "Battery's Down" season two fundraiser promises campy Broadway gems, video shorts and improvised songs incorporating audience suggestions.

Set to perform are Jake Wilson, star and creator of "The Battery's Down," as well as Tyler Maynard (The Little Mermaid), Alysha Umphress (Make Me a Song), Todd Buonopane (Spelling Bee), Sas Goldberg (Stunning), Anne Horak (White Christmas), Jessica Hershberg (Idaho!) Morgan James (ATC's Hair), Michael Lowney, Marla Mindelle (South Pacific), Ana Nogueira (Knives and Other Sharp Objects), Brynn O'Malley (Wicked), Vanessa Ray (Spelling Bee), Dani Spieler (Legally Blonde), Dana Steingold (Spelling Bee) and Nina Sturtz.

"The Battery's Down" made its online premiere Feb. 1, 2008, with a slew of Broadway talent in tow. The second season premiered April 1.

Contributing composers for the series include Benj Pasek and Justin Paul (Edges, Johnny and the Sprites), Laurence O'Keefe (Legally Blonde), David Kirshenbaum (Vanities, Summer of '42), Josh Salzman and Ryan Cunningham (I Love You Because), and Ryan Scott Oliver and Kirsten A. Guenther (Alive at Ten). Tickets, priced $20, are available by visiting JoesPub. Joe's Pub is located within the Public Theater at 425 Lafayette Street.
