Wit opened on Jan. 26 to acclaim from critics. Tony Award winner Cynthia Nixon (Rabbit Hole) stars as a poetry professor facing terminal cancer, or, as MTC puts it: "A scholar who devoted her life to academia, she must now face the irony and injustice of becoming the subject of research."

In addition to Nixon, Wit also features Pun Bandhu (as Technician), Olivier Award winner Suzanne Bertish (as Prof. E.M. Ashford), Michael Countryman (Harvey Kelekian/Mr. Bearing), Jessica Dickey (Technician), Chiké Johnson (Technician), Greg Keller (Dr. Jason Posner), Carra Patterson (Susie Monahan) and Zachary Spicer (Technician).

The creative team for Wit includes Santo Loquasto (scenic design), Jennifer von Mayrhauser (costume design), Peter Kaczorowski (lighting design), Jill BC Du Boff (sound design) and J. David Brimmer (specialty staging consultant).

The schedule for the extension week (March 12-17) follows: Tuesday and Wednesday at 7 PM, Thursday through Saturday at 8 PM. Matinees on Wednesday and Saturday at 2 PM. There will only be seven performances during this final week.
