News Woman in White Performance to Benefit Prince's Trust The Sept. 13 performance of Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Woman in White will benefit The Prince's Trust.

The U.K. charity, according to its official website, helps "young people overcome barriers and get their lives working. Through practical support including training, mentoring and financial assistance, we help 14-30 year olds realize their potential and transform their lives. We focus our efforts on those who've struggled at school, been in care, been in trouble with the law, or are long-term unemployed." The Woman in White, featuring music by Lloyd Webber, lyrics by David Zippel and a book by Charlotte Jones, is based on Wilkie Collins' novel of the same name. The musical — co-starring Maria Friedman and Michael Crawford — will begin previews at the newly refurbished Palace Theatre Aug. 28 with an official opening Sept. 15. Trevor Nunn directs.

Tickets for the benefit performance range from £40 (show only) to £250 (show and after-show party). Show time is 7:15 PM. Call 020 7543 1389 for reservations.
