News Works by Sheffer, Strausser and Fox Featured in Free Symphony Space Reading Series Symphony Space will offer a free reading series this summer in its Leonard Nimoy Thalia space.

The series will kick off July 16 at 7 PM with Isaiah Sheffer's Helpers. Eduardo Machado will direct the reading of Sheffer's play, which is described as "a charming new comedy about the next big idea." Frank Strausser's The Split — "a screwball comedy about life, love and divorce — Hollywood style" — will be presented July 23 at 7 PM. Michael Bush directs.

The series will conclude Aug. 6 with Martin Fox's Two Handers, which features "2 men. 2 women. 4 conflicts. 6 scenes." Austin Pendleton directs.

Each reading will be followed by a question-and-answer session with both the cast and creative team.
