The production began previews Jan. 19, but canceled the Jan. 26-29 performances in order to allow the creative team and cast additional time to work on the production. A new creative consultant was brought in to shepherd the 90-minute comedy that was originally directed by Alex Lippard.

In addition to Carlson (The Goat, Taboo, Stage Kiss) and Page (August: Osage County, Side Man, "The Sixth Sense"), the cast features Obie Award winner Jan Leslie Harding (The Green Bird, A Lie of the Mind) and Laurence Lau (The Exonerated, "One Life to Live").

Here's how Psycho Therapy is billed: "Lily's fiancée Phillip blows off couples therapy and Dorian, her hot young ex-boyfriend, jumps in to fill the void. When the trio ends up on the couch together, only therapist Nancy Winston can untangle the kinks. Frank Strausser's insanely entertaining new comedy opens the door to a new option - couples therapy for three."

The production team includes Michael V. Moore (set designer), Amanda Bujak (costume designer), Amy Altadonna (sound designer), Jeff Croiter (lighting designer) and Allison Leyton-Brown (composer).

Performances continue through Feb. 25. Tickets for Psycho Therapy, priced $66, can be purchased by calling (212) 352-3101 or by visiting psychotherapytheplay.com.

The Cherry Lane Theatre is located at 38 Commerce Street.
