Edward J. Moore, who won a Drama Desk Award in 1978 for The Sea Horse, will unveil his latest work, Bicycleman, at Theatre West in L.A. on Jan. 18, in a world premiere directed by Daniel Keough. The run is through Feb. 11.

The Sea Horse, which was Moore's first play, was produced widely in the U.S. and abroad. An actor as well as a playwright, Moore stars in Bicycleman as Jack, a master craftsman who carves wood in amazing ways. Inspired by the grandfather who raised him and by Native American values concerning respect for the earth, Jack nonetheless feels his gifts slipping away from him. The intervention of his true love, Kate, and his friends George and Marge may redeem him from self-destruction...if they're in time.

Also featured in the cast are Dick Boccelli, Suzzy London and Ch Chi Navarro. Keough is also a writer; Tom Tom On a Rooftop, his play starring Betty Garrett and the late Philip Abbott, was produced at TW in 1997.

Theatre West is located at 3333 Cahuenga Blvd. For tickets and information call (323) 851- 7977 or visit www.theatrewest.org
