News World Premiere of Craving for Travel to Play Peter J. Sharp Theater The two-person comedy Craving for Travel will make its world premiere at the Peter J. Sharp Theater in 2014.

Written by Greg Edwards (Neurosis: A New MusicalTaking the Plunge) and Andy Sandberg (Shida, The Last Smoker in America), Craving for Travel will begin performances Jan. 9, 2014, prior to an official opening Jan. 22. Performances will continue through Feb 9.

Directed by Sandberg, the play will feature two actors playing 30 characters. Casting will be announced at a later date.

"Gary and Joanne, rival travel agents and former spouses, are vying for their industry's most prestigious honor: the Globel Prize," press notes state. "With their reputations on the line, they'll tackle any request, no matter how impossible, and any client, no matter how unreasonable. Full of overzealous travelers, overbooked flights, and hoteliers who are just over it, Craving for Travel reminds us why we travel…and everything that can happen when we do."

Commissioned and produced by travel agent Jim Strong, Craving for Travel's creative team includes Charlie Corcoran (set design), Jeff Croiter (lighting design), Michael McDonald (costume design) and Bart Fasbender and Dave Sanderson (sound design). Pamela Edington is the production stage manager, and Andrew Jones is the general manager.
