News World Premiere of Thank You for Waiting Will Reunite Two Estranged Friends Thank You for Waiting, a new play by Kasey Brown and Marc J. Franklin, will have its world premiere at the Kraine Theater in New York City. Nicholas Foster directs; performances begin Feb. 18.

FRIGID New York will present the piece, as part of Horse Trade Theater’s FRIGID Festival, in association with Kasey Brown, Marc J. Franklin, Colleen Brown, Joel Brown, Steve Kallaugher, Melanie Rodriguez and Chuck Roth.

Writers Brown and Franklin also star in the two-hander.

Thank You for Waiting, according to press notes, "follows Kate and Eddie, two estranged friends who unexpectedly meet in a therapist's waiting room after a year apart. As they confront a shared trauma, a delicate dance begins between who they were, and who they have become. Thank You For Waiting explores mental health, loss, and the dynamic nature of friendship."

The creative team also includes John Delfino (lighting design) and Nzinga Williams (stage manager).

Performances are Feb. 18 at 10:30 PM, Feb. 24 at 7:10 PM, Feb. 27 at 6:40 PM, March 2 at 10:30 PM and March 5 at noon. The Kraine Theater is located at 85 East 4th Street. For more information and tickets, visit horseTRADE.info and FrigidNewYork.info.
