Directed by Giovanna Sardelli, Dead Accounts is the latest from the playwright of Broadway's Mauritius and Seminar, and the creator of TV's upcoming series "Smash." The play will officially open Jan. 18 for a run through Feb. 11.

The cast features Stephen Barker Turner, Susan Greenhill, Carly Street, Haynes Thigpen and Victoria Mack.

Here's how the play is billed: "At first, prodigal son Jack's [Turner] unexpected visit to Cincinnati from New York City appears to be an exercise in the mass consumption of comfort foods from his youth — Graeter's, Skyline and LaRosa's. However, his family soon wonders if he's coming home or running away. And where did he get all the money? This world premiere play painfully and hilariously portrays Midwestern values and family dynamics to reveal why home remains important no matter where you live."

The creative team includes set designer Scott Bradley, lighting designer Japhy Weideman, costume designer Clint Ramos and sound designer/composer Jeremy J. Lee.

Rebeck was a Pulitzer Prize finalist as the co-author of Omnium Gatherum. Her plays also include Bad Dates, The Scene and The Understudy and more. She has also authored the feature films "Harriet the Spy" and "Gossip," and earned a Peabody Award for "NYPD Blue." She is the creator, head writer and executive producer of the upcoming NBC musical series "Smash."
