Mary's Wedding follows a romance between two young Canadians who are torn apart by World War I. Julie Jesneck and Cody Nickell star as two young lovers under the direction of Michael Butler. The work by Calgary-based writer Massicotte enjoyed a successful premiere at the 2002 playRites Festival at Alberta Theatre Projects and went on to win the 2002 Betty Mitchell Award for Outstanding New Play and the 2003 Gwen Pharis Ringwood Award for Drama.

The Mary's Wedding design team include Alexander V. Nichols (sets and lighting), B. Modern (costumes) and Jeff Mockus (sound).

Massicotte's other plays include The Boy's Own Jedi Handbook, My Life of Crime, A Farewell to Kings: A Banger Play and Looking After Eden. He also penned the screenplays "Ginger Snaps: The Prequel" and "The Dark."
