The season will also include guest soloists Vladimir Feltsman, playing Beethoven's Third Piano Concert; Sarah Chang, playing the Sibelius Violin Concerto; Richard Stoltzman, playing the Copland Clarinet Concerto; Andr_ Watts, playing Edward McDowell's Second Piano Concerto; and Robert MacDuffie, performing Philip Glass's Violin Concerto.
JoAnn Falletta, music director of the Buffalo Philharmonic, also visits Syracuse, to lead John Adams' A Short Ride in a Fast Machine and Berlioz's Symphonie fantastique.
Other highlights of the season include Verdi's Requiem, with the Cornell University Chorus and Glee Club. Two concerts in April mark the 250th anniversary of Mozart's birth.
