News York Reading Series Has New Musical, Mr. Anonymous, July 20 Mr. Anonymous, a new musical about the journey of a young poet, will be heard 7:30 PM July 20 in the York Theatre Company's developmental reading series in Manhattan.

The show has concept and music by Van Hughes and book by Stephanie DiMaggio. "Mr. Anonymous explores the journey of a young poet, Jason, and his quest to fulfill his dreams of attaining professional success while battling the voices of reason and temptation in his head," according to the York. "His dream-filled exploration leads him to decide what is most treasured in his life — true love or artistic expression. A funny, fast-paced love story."

The free public performance is at the York's digs at The Theatre at Saint Peter's, Citigroup Center , 619 Lexington Avenue, at 54th Street.
