News You Can Get It If You Try: Nice Work, Best Musical Tony Nominee, Will Get Cast Album The Gershwin score of Nice Work If You Can Get It, the 2012 Tony Award-nominated Best Musical, will be preserved on a cast album on the Shout! Factory label, the producers announced on May 17. Sony will distribute the disc.

The album will be recorded at Kaufman Astoria Studios in Long Island City, NY, May 20-21. The release date will be announced soon. Six-time Grammy Award nominee Robert Sher will produce the album.

The newly fashioned musical comedy (with a book by two-time Tony winner Joe DiPietro) that plunders the song catalog of composer George Gershwin and lyricist Ira Gershwin is nominated for ten Tony Awards including Best Musical.

Three-time Tony winner Kathleen Marshall is nominated for 2012 Tonys for direction and choreography. Nice Work stars two-time Tony Award winner Matthew Broderick and four-time Tony Award nominee Kelli O'Hara.

The music supervisor is David Chase; the music director, Tom Murray. Orchestrations are by Bill Elliott.

The show opened April 24 at the Imperial Theatre (249 W. 45th Street). The album will include the Gershwin songs "Someone to Watch Over Me," "I've Got to Be There," "Sweet & Lowdown," "'S Wonderful," "Let's Call the Whole Thing Off," "Fascinating Rhythm," "But Not for Me," "Blah, Blah, Blah," the title song and more. Nice Work "follows Billie Bendix (Kelli O'Hara), a bootlegger who meets wealthy playboy Jimmy Winter (Matthew Broderick) on the weekend of his nuptials. Mayhem ensues."

The production also stars Academy Award winner Estelle Parsons as Millicent Winter, Tony Award winner Judy Kaye (and 2012 nominee) as Estonia Dulworth, 2012 Tony Award nominee Michael McGrath as Cookie McGee, Jennifer Laura Thompson as Eileen Evergreen, Chris Sullivan as Duke Mahoney, Robyn Hurder as Jeannie Muldoon, Stanley Wayne Mathis as Chief Berry and Terry Beaver as Senator Max Evergreen.
