Directed by Chip Klose (The Extraordinary Ordinary), the readings of the new musical will feature Heidi Blickenstaff ([title of show], The Addams Family), Andrew Kober (Hair), Patti Murin (Lysistrata Jones, Xanadu) and Sarah Stiles (On a Clear Day You Can See Forever, Avenue Q) with Zachary Prince (On A Clear Day You Can See Forever, Jersey Boys) in the title role. Fred Lassen (South Pacific) is the musical director.

What’s The Matter With Henry? (adapted from Elish’s novel, "Nine Wives"), according to press notes, "tells the story of Henry Mann, a 32-year-old bachelor who’s still heartbroken after being dumped by the love of his life. He awakes one morning to find out that she’s not only met someone new, but that she’s about to get married... What's worse, he’s been invited to the wedding! What follows is Henry's desperate attempt to find the perfect date to take to the wedding--to prove to his ex-fiancée (and the world) that he too is ready to move on. Through a series of highs and lows, Henry slowly begins to piece his life back together... even managing to find love and learn some maturity along the way."

The show received a developmental workshop this past summer at The University of the Arts in Philadelphia under its previous title, Nine Wives. This upcoming reading will mark its first showing in New York.
