Directed by Lila Neugebauer, the cast includes Aya Cash (The Other Place, "The Wolf of Wall Street") as Trudy, Celeste Den (Chinglish, "Larry Crowne") as Other Woman, Tate Ellington (The Philanthropist, Dog Sees God) as Other Man and Michael Weston (Extinction, Snakebit) as Max.
Here's how the production is billed: "On rare occasions, you meet someone and everything clicks. But is love a choice? Or does it just happen? Trudy writes young adult fiction; Max is a novelist of celebrity status. And their attraction is anything but convenient."
Trudy and Max in Love features scenic design by Laura Jellinek, costume design by Melanie Watnick, lighting design by Lap Chi Chu and sound design by Cricket S. Myers. Kathryn Davies is stage manager and Kimberly Colburn is dramaturg.
Kazan's playwriting credits include Absalom and We Live Here, and her film writing credits include "Ruby Sparks," in which she also starred, and "Revolutionary Road," "It’s Complicated," "The Exploding Girl" and the HBO miniseries "Olive Kitteridge." Her stage acting credits include Come Back, Little Sheba; The Seagull; and A Behanding in Spokane.
