News John Astin's Poe Brings Midnight to Woodstock, Jan. 17 Gomez Goes Gothic...Again.

Gomez Goes Gothic...Again. John Astin (Gomez on the original "Addams Family") will once again enter into a strange, creepy world -- this time with literary figure Edgar Allan Poe in Once Upon A Midnight, a one-man show playing two performances at Illinois' Woodstock Opera House, on Jan. 17, 1999.

Midnight mixes Poe's somber poetry, short stories (The Fall Of The House Of Usher, The Tell-Tale Heart) with stories of his personal turmoils. Although Astin is best known for playing Gomez, he's been a frequent television presence since then, nabbing recurring roles on television series including: "Mad About You," "Step by Step," "The Nanny," "Night Court," and "Duckman." In 1993, he starred in the New York Gilbert & Sullivan Players' HMS Pinafore.
