DESCRIPTION

The hit comedy show, Drunk Shakespeare, is seeking a Bartender for their speakeasy-style theatre located in Midtown Manhattan.

We are looking for a professional, experienced Bartender to take on evening drink service of signature cocktails during performances. We strive to provide patrons with a unique and memorable experience where guests are immersed in the world of “Drunk Shakespeare” as soon as they enter the building. Therefore, service quality is our highest priority.

This position will be part time, based on the performance schedule, with the opportunity to grow their work along with the show.

Compensation will start at $12/hr + Tips.

Regular Schedule:

Tuesday: 5-11pm

Wednesday: 5pm-11pm

Thursday: 5pm-11pm

Friday: 5pm-1am

Saturday: 5pm-1am

Bartender will also work additional weekday hours, and is responsible for bar maintenance including overseeing inventory, placing liquor orders, stocking adequate liquor and ingredients, preparing and batching cocktails, receiving deliveries, maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards, and leading training of serving staff.

Schedule will vary based on holidays and special events.

Qualified Candidates must possess:

• At least 1 year bartending experience in a high-volume venue

• Alcohol Server/Seller Certificate, and relevant Food Handlers certification (or willingness to do the courses immediately)

• PATIENCE in working with our team in a fast-paced environment

• A strong work ethic, with a focus on professionalism and reliability

• The ability to work independently while maintaining a collaborative attitude.

• Experience bartending in an entertainment-focused venue a plus, though not required

• Must pass a background check
