Please prepare a brief cut of a song and monologue OR two contrasting songs.

Equity encourages members to prepare for their audition prior to arriving at the audition venue, to the extent that they can (e.g., get dressed, hair/make-up, etc.) to avoid crowding in bathrooms and dressing rooms.

Clairee Belcher: Female identifying. 55-60’s identifying. Widow of former mayor. Grand dame. Elegant, sophisticated, a true beauty.

Shelby Eatenton-Laterie: Female identifying. 19. Prettiest girl in town. Loves pink. Strong willed, passionate.

M’Lynn Eatenton: Female identifying. 40-50’s. Shelby’s mother. Always knows what’s best, strong, stubborn, the heart of the piece.

Ousier (Pronounced Weezer) Bourdreaux: Female identifying. 55-60’s. Wealthy curmudgeon. Tough, eccentric character.

Fairy Godmother: Ageless, any ethnicity. An enchanting motherly figure.

Stepmother: 35+, any ethnicity. Cinderella's selfish stepmother. A vain and tyrannical climber. Deeply concerned with status and image and entirely dismissive of her stepdaughter. Comic timing.

Grace: Cinderella’s awkward stepsister

Joy: Cinderella’s sullen stepsister

Christopher: a charming young prince

Lionel: his royal steward

Queen Constantina: his mother

King Maximillian: his father

Mike Costa, 20’s an aggressive dancer who learned to tap at an early age.
Connie Wong, 20’s a petite Chinese American who seems ageless.
Greg Gardner, 30’s a sassy Jewish gay man who divulges his first experience with a woman.
Cassie Ferguson, 30’s a once successful solo dancer down on her luck and former love of Zach's.
Sheila Bryant, 30’s a sassy, sexy, aging dancer who tells of her unhappy childhood.
Bobby Mills, 30’s Sheila's best friend who jokes about his conservative upbringing in Buffalo, New York.
Bebe Benzenheimer, 20’s a young dancer who only feels beautiful when she dances.
Judy Turner, 20’s a tall, gawky, and quirky dancer.
Richie Walters, 20’s an enthusiastic black man who once planned to be a kindergarten teacher.
Al DeLuca, 20’s-30’s an Italian American who takes care of his wife.
Kristine Urich (DeLuca), 20’s Al's scatter-brained wife who can't sing.
Val Clark, 20’s a foul-mouthed but excellent dancer who couldn't get performing jobs because of her looks until she had plastic surgery.
Mark Anthony, 19-20 the youngest dancer who recounts the time he told his priest he thought he had gonorrhea.
Paul San Marco, 20’s a gay Puerto Rican who dropped out of high school and survived a troubled childhood.
Diana Morales: 20’s Paul's friend, another Puerto Rican who was underestimated by her teachers.

The Girl on the Train (Runs Aug. 17-Sept. 2) 1st Rehearsal Aug. 1, 2023

Tom Watson: 25-40. Medium role. Divorced from Rachel and currently married to Anna.
Anna Watson: 20- 35 Medium role. Tom’s current wife.
Megan Hipwell: 20-30 Medium role. The girl who disappears.
Scott Hipwell: 20-35 Medium role. Megan’s Husband.
Kamal Abdic: 25 - 35 Smaller role. A psychotherapist ideally of “Asian heritage”
D.I. Gaskill: 40 - 60 Large role. Police Inspector. Any gender.
