DESCRIPTION

This staff member will assist with the installation, execution, and maintenance of theatrical lighting and effects for varying productions in two theaters, one of which is outdoors. Qualified applicants will have a working knowledge of electrical wiring, theatrical lighting, and ETC lighting consoles, be able to work unsupervised, and mentor and supervise early career electricians. Experience with regional theater, repertory theater, and/or outdoor theatre a plus. Applicants must be comfortable with working outdoors and with heights, including daily climbs of 45’.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

· Assist with hanging and circuiting all lighting elements

· Assist with all focus calls for repertory plot and individual shows in two theaters

· Assist with wiring for all electrified and battery operated props

· Assist with the build and execution of lighting and atmospheric effects

· Assist with all lighting calls in both theaters as assigned

· Assist with the maintenance of all lighting elements

· Perform a variety of wiring tasks including properties practicals, set dressing, and scenery specific lighting (such as LED tape, etc)

· Supervise early career technicians in the completion of daily tasks

$17.25 – $18.50 per hour
