Stage Left Children’s Theatre (located in Tappan NY) is seeking an experienced Musical Director for the 2024 Mainstage musical production.
The Musical Director will work closely with the Director, choreographer, Costume Designer, Technical Designer and cast ages 8-18.
As the musical director, your responsibilities include:
1. Weekly rehearsals with cast to teach the music. Artistic Director will work with MD to create schedule.
2. Assembling the band for technical rehearsals & performances (based on the budget allocated by the studio
3. Rehearsing the band as needed prior to the performances (use of studio is permitted)
4. Playing all performances while conducting the band from the piano.
Flexibility, responsive communication skills, experience working with children in this or a similar capacity.
Stipend: $3,500 for the Musical Director based on hours set forth. Performances in May 2024.
$3,500.00 – $3,500.00 per gig
