DESCRIPTION
Overview
Supervise all aspects of the implementation and safe installation of live sound & media work for all Iris Cantor Theatre (ICT) events. Oversee inventory, tracking, and maintenance of sound/media equipment. Train and supervise technical staff and student workers in maintenance and preparation of sound/media equipment. Manage assigned budget.

Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree
Preferred Education:
Bachelor's Degree concentration in Technical Theater/Production
Required Experience:
3+ years technical/supervisory experience in sound/media design and installation and live event production. Experience in communicating sound design or media technology to diverse audiences. Experience administering budgets.
Preferred Experience:
3+ years concentration in Technical Theater/Production
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Strong organizational, drafting, and rigging skills. Excellent communication skills as well as 'team building' ability. Remain well versed in the current standards and practices, both educational and professional of sound design and production. High proficiency on programming consoles. Ability to read and draft designs, schematics, construction blueprints, and plans. Computer literacy in Windows and Mac operating systems; applications: Microsoft Office, Vectorworks Spotlight, AutoCAD, LightWright, Protools, Apple Logic and Dante. Ability to work evenings and weekends, depending on production schedule.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Familiarity with aspects of professional New York theatre. Experience working in a higher education environment including music and theatre areas; experience in professional live audio mixing for musicals and operas.
Qualifications
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $67,500.00 to USD $82,500.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
