Spring 2021 internship

CATEGORY: Internship

Target Margin Theater
Brooklyn, NY 11220

Job Details

Target Margin Theater’s internships provide rigorous hands-on experience in theater production, management, marketing / development and artistic creation. Our office and theater is in Sunset Park (232 52nd Street), on the industrial edge of an immigrant neighborhood in South Brooklyn. As a small company with limited resources, our interns are an intrinsic part of our work and will be privy to all aspects of running a nonprofit theater in NYC. That said, we are committed to a healthy office culture with lots of time for food and enjoying each other’s company. We offer a small stipend ($150/month), mentorship, priceless experience, and the opportunity to connect with a wide variety of smart and interesting artists. We’re looking for someone to join us 2-3 days a week for approximately 15-20 hours per week.

MARKETING INTERN: works closely with Community Producer Victoria Linchong assisting in marketing and communications. Interns may be assigned to tasks related to social media, the bi-weekly newsletter, the website, and creative ways to market and promote the work of Target Margin. Must have excellent writing skills, an active social media presence, and the ability to think out of the box. Interns may also have the opportunity to hone their skills in video, photography, and graphic design. Chinese or Spanish language skills a plus.

We are currently working in the office on Mondays and Wednesday, and remotely on the other days. All staff members have been getting Covid tests bi-weekly. We wear face masks and try to keep six feet distant. Our in-person hours may change with production in May and June.

Send a cover letter & resume to victoria@targetmargin.org. Please include in the subject line “Marketing Intern.”
