Touring Production Stage Manager - PADDINGTON GETS IN A JAM Rockefeller Productions is seeking a Production Stage Manager for its upcoming US tour of Paddington Gets in a Jam. Inspired by Michael Bond’s classic books, this production brings Paddington Bear to life onstage as he tries to help his neighbor Mr. Curry prepare for his Great Aunt Matilda’s arrival; but despite his best efforts, Paddington seems to create more chaos as he checks tasks off his to-do list.

Rehearsals begin in New York City in late January or early December with a first tour stop in March 2022. The tour runs from March to May with a second leg in late 2022.

Valid Driver’s License required. This is a non-union contract.

Rockefeller Productions requires all personnel to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

Hotel room and daily per diem provided by the Producer.


Create rehearsal and call schedules with the Director, then independently create call schedules once on the road
Maintain all show reports, updates, changes, and blocking

Participate in all rehearsal and production meetings
Supervise and direct local crew and touring crew during load in, shows, and load out
Call LX focus with the local venue LX Head
Call all show cues (or potentially operate and fire cues)

Shared driving responsibilities of minivan or passenger van

Supervise truck pack during each load out
Coordinate with Company Manager and Production Manager around any maintenance needs and/or travel and personnel needs
Minimal day-to-day company management duties (dealing with hotel issues, working with venue catering supervisor, cast room assignments)

Touring experience highly preferred
Experience working with and supervising local crews under IATSE union regulations preferred Valid Driver’s License Required Able to work varied hours Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Must be able to problem solve in the moment Strong organizational skills Must have an adaptable personality We hope to fill this position soon with a first rehearsal date in late January.
