News   Alicia Witt to Star in London The Shape of Things
Up-and-coming American screen actress Alicia Witt is to make her London stage debut in a West End revival of The Shape of Things by Neil LaBute.

Witt, who recently wrapped filming opposite Kevin Costner and Joan Allen in the movie “The Upside of Anger,” attracted attention for her cinematic turns in "Vanilla Sky" and "Mr.Holland’s Opus" — and became a recognizable face across America for her role as Zoey in the CBS series “Cybill.” After out-of-town tryouts, the show will reach the New Ambassadors Theatre on May 6, with opening night on May 17. The play focuses on the relationship between art student Evelyn and her boyfriend Adam, whom she sets out to change while their friends Philip and Jenny look on. It was originally produced in 2001 at London’s Almeida with a cast including Rachel Weisz and Paul Rudd, who resumed their roles for the 2003 film version.

The 2004 cast will also include three young Brit actors, James Murray, Sienna Guillory and Enzo Cilenti. Julian Webber will direct the new production. Designs will be by Simon Higlett, with Kenny Wax producing.
