Canadian stage star Diane D'Aquila, Steven Sutcliffe (Younger Brother in the original Broadway production of Ragtime) and Kevin Gudahl star in Chicago Shakespeare Theater's revised revival of late Canadian writer Timothy Findley's Elizabeth Rex. Set in Shakespeare's time, the fictional drama is based on an obscure historical fact: on the eve of the beheading of her rumored lover, the Earl of Essex, Queen Elizabeth I was entertained by William Shakespeare and his company with a performance of Much Ado About Nothing.
