Highlights From Stephen Schwartz's Godspell

Made famous Off-Broadway and in the 1973 film starring Victor Garber, Godspell, Stephen Schwartz's first musical, returns to Broadway for the first time since 1977. The loose-knit exploration of the parables of Jesus stars Hunter Parrish ("Weeds," Spring Awakening) leading an ensemble that includes Lindsay Mendez (Everyday Rapture) and Telly Leung (Rent, "Glee"). The rock musical features the fan-favorites "Save the People," "Light of the World," "Beautiful City," "All Good Gifts" and the pop hit "Day By Day." For a new generation, Daniel Goldstein (in his Broadway directing debut) stages the show in the round, pulling surprises out of trap doors within the stage at Circle in the Square.
