Though there had been speculation further weeks would be added to the U.S. national tour of 2 Pianos, 4 Hands, the show will close in Stamford, CT March 28 at the Rich Forum. The two-man musical look at life behind the piano keys began its national tour in January 1999 in Atlanta.

Written and originally performed by Canadians Ted Dykstra and Richard Greenblatt, 2 Pianos traces two men's obsession with the piano that ranges from first songs like "In My Little Birch Canoe" to Bach, Mozart, Billy Joel and Elton John. Positioned at a pair of grand pianos, they recreate a world of youthful talent led through the love-hate relationship with practicing, piano exams, conservatory competitions and inspiring eccentrics.

Robert Blaney and Barry Neikrug star as the pianists. Gloria Muzio, the original Canadian and Off-Broadway helmer, directs.

2 Pianos began at the Tarragon Spring Arts Fair in Canada where it received a Dora Mavor Moore Award as Best Production. In 1997, the show opened at New York's Promenade Theatre, where it played for six months before transferring to the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC.
