Barbara Siegel, the theatre/cabaret critic for TalkinBroadway.com and TheaterMania.com, will again be the chairperson for the Drama Desk Awards Nominating Committee.
Siegel's committee, according to the Drama Desk website, will include Jason Clark (Slant Magazine, TheaterOnline.com), Anita Gates (freelance, The New York Times), Lawrence Harbison (senior editor & columnist for Smith & Kraus, Inc.), Gerard Raymond (freelance, Back Stage), Richard Ridge (Broadway Beat TV) and Douglas Strassler (OffOffOnline.com, Show Business Weekly).
The Drama Desk is an organization of theatre critics, writers and editors that honors all areas of New York theatre, including Broadway, Off-Broadway and Off-Off-Broadway.
The Drama Desk, organized in 1949, presented its first awards in 1955.
