After a world-premiere engagement at the Kansas City Repertory Theatre last holiday season (where it received multiple extensions), the new musical adaptation of the 1983 holiday film A Christmas Story will run Nov. 30-Dec. 19. Director Eric Rosen and choreographer Kelly Devine, who staged the KC Rep premiere, will again present the production that has a score by Scott Davenport Richards and a libretto by Joseph Robinette.

As previously reported, the Off-Broadway musical Vanities will make its Northwest premiere in a co-presentation between the 5th Avenue and A Contemporary Theatre Feb. 4-April 3, 2011. The Dolly Parton musical 9 to 5 will run April 5-24, 2011. Parton, who starred in the iconic 1980's film, penned the score to the production that has a book by original screen writer Patricia Resnick. Frank Loesser's classic musical Guys and Dolls will roll the dice May 17-June 3, 2011. The tale of gamblers and their dames has a book by Jo Swerling and Abe Burrows.
